Haiti Scholars T-Shirt Sales Fundraiser By: Anna Lindflott Just over four years ago, I hopped on a plane with a bunch of high schoolers and mentors to go to a new country that I knew only a little about. I knew that we were going to Haiti to pass a bunch of buckets of rocks and sand to start building a playground, play with the kids in the community and at the orphanage we stayed at and share the love of God with all that we met. What I did not know was the immense impact that these kids and this community would have on the rest of my life. Their beaming smiles, sweet souls, and gracious hearts are imprinted in my mind and I continue to think about them every day. Being a future teacher myself, learning about Haiti Scholars and their mission empowered me to want to help do more for this amazing community. Haiti Scholars is dedicated to work in partnership to help provide scholarships to the poorest children in the area near Mariani, Haiti, help provide teaching materials, and help support the staff and teachers through advanced educational training. To continue to fundraise for the community, Haiti Scholars is selling t-shirts for $20 each, in adult sizes small through XL. The sales of the t-shirts will help support funds for new laptops, computer lab materials, and teaching supplies. It is extremely important for the students in Haiti to have access to technology, as it is used globally.
